TikTok is getting its e-commerce game on.
The platform has launched a new feature that allows users to shop for products associated with a sponsored Hashtag Challenge, without leaving its app.
In addition to creating and viewing videos featuring the brand’s sponsored hashtag, a separate tab features an in-app experience where products from the campaign can be purchased within TikTok itself.
The new commerce feature, Hashtag Challenge Plus, allows viewers to click through in-app to said product or to find out more information about what the brand is plugging. A pretty simple but potentially effective way of generating some cash for TikTok.
