The social network is testing out a new in-app shopping ADS for Facebook and Instagram. An ADV option to order an advertised item directly from the news feed of the two social network.
This kind of Dynamic Ads are designed to “automatically show the right products to people who have expressed interest on your website, in your app or elsewhere on the Internet” using the products catalog, via the ‘Checkout on Facebook‘ option.
In order to do this, users do need to have a payment option attached to their account, for using the “Place Order” on-platform purchases.
This new function will be available also on Instagram, in order to transform the Instagram Shopping ads into paid promotions as ‘Checkout on Instagram‘ shopping posts in the near future.
